An important instrument of power saving policy in the world practice is informing about energy efficiency of electrical appliances, buildings and heat-insulating materials, buildings, municipal heat-and-power engineering equipment, motor transport. Marking is the best for the consumer way to get information about energy efficiency of purchasing equipment).
According to European Union directive all community lamps have to possess the marking, which shows energy efficiency class. The exception are lamps with light stream more than 6500 lm, mirror lamps and lamps with power less than 4 W. Energy efficiency class is showing by letters from A to G. Class A answers to the highest efficiency.
Exemplary correspondence between different lamp types and energy efficiency classes:
A: luminescent lamps with three-pole luminophor, linear and PL compact fluorescent, compact fluorescent lamps with built-in electronic start-controlling device),
B: luminescent lamps with halophosphate luminophor, some PL compact fluorescent, compact fluorescent lamps with electromagnetic start-controlling device,
C: high-performance halogen lamps,
D: other halogen lamps,
E/F: standard incandescent lamps,
G: decorative incandescent lamps and other. |
